Important Notes During the Trip
- Low water: The motor canoe is sometimes not possible because of low water, especially in the dry season. When the river is too shallow, we continue by trekking through the dense Siberut rainforest to reach the host family. We adapt to natural conditions to keep the experience safe, authentic, and immersive.
- Flexible itinerary: We reserve the right to modify, delay, or adjust the itinerary or program to suit natural conditions and ensure everyone's safety. Decisions are based on our local knowledge, particularly of weather and environmental conditions.
- Beyond your comfort zone: There is no fixed schedule in the jungle. Each day unfolds with the rhythms of the Mentawai people, and with some luck you may witness a traditional ceremony.
